Our Story

Dubai Alternatives was born from a personal journey. Our founding team spent over a decade living and working in Dubai, experiencing both the tremendous opportunities and the growing challenges of expat life in the UAE. Rising costs of living, intense work culture, and a desire for something different led us to explore alternatives across Southeast Asia and Europe.

When we discovered Bali, everything clicked. The combination of premium lifestyle quality, dramatically lower costs, rich culture, natural beauty, and a thriving international community offered everything we loved about Dubai with none of the downsides. We made the move in 2014 and never looked back.

Soon, friends and former colleagues in Dubai started asking how they could do the same. What began as informal advice over coffee became a structured consultancy, and Dubai Alternatives was officially launched to help other UAE residents navigate the same transition we had made.

Today, we have helped over 500 families and individuals relocate from Dubai to Bali. Our team includes former Dubai corporate executives, property investment specialists, immigration consultants, and education advisors who all share one thing in common: they made the move themselves and understand the journey intimately.
